Active Matrix display was introduced in 1992 by IBM with the ThinkPad. It has the liquid crystal display in which (TFT) Thin Film Transistor control the pixel of display and enhances. The Macintosh Portable (1989) was perhaps the first consumer laptop to employ an active matrix panel.
Today, virtually all TVs, computer monitors and smart phone screens that use LCDor OLED technology employ active matrix technology.
The screen by making it more faster, attractive colorful and also brighter which helpful to watch the screen from different angles but on the other hand such display consume more power than passive-matrix.
