Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit Pro) which is a digital audio workstation from Adobe Systems containing both multitask, non-destructive mix/edit environment and a destructive-approach waveform editing view.

There are lots of new and enhanced features in many areas of the program of Adobe Audition, including prolonged core functionality and some impressive new special effects and controls. Adobe has purchased Cool Edit Pro from Syntrillium Software in May 2003 for $16.5 million. There is a large loop library called “Loopology”. Adobe has changed the name of Cool Edit Pro to “Adobe Audition.
