AJAX stands for “Asynchronous JavaScript and XML”, is a technique which explains the using of many existing technologies together including the HTML, XHTM, JavaScript, XML XSLT etc. These technologies are united in the Ajax model and web applications are able to make nippy, incremental updates to the user interface without reloading the entire browser page.

The “asynchronous” part of Ajax refers to the way requests are made to the Web server. When a script sends a appeal to the Web server, it may accept data, which can then be shown on the Web page. They can work with numerous websites.

For example search engines that present a catalog of search suggestions as you type are most likely using Ajax to shows the suggestions. Image searches that produce more thumbnails as you scroll through the results normally use Ajax to reclaim the repeated list of images.
