Application software which is installed in our computer to solve a particulars task is called application software.
Applications software’s have the secondary importance in our system and they are controlled by operating system software.
The operating system software look after the application software’s that they are working properly or not.
These are the most popular examples of application software’s such as Ms Word, Excel, web browsers, games and e-mail programs etc.
Some applications are available in versions for several different platforms; others have narrower requirements and are thus called, for example, a Geography application for Windows, an Android application for education, or Linux gaming. Sometimes a new and popular application arises which only runs on one platform, increasing the desirability of that platform.
