Term used to explain a PC program which has just the important elements that let it work, helping maintain its total cost low.

The bare bones are also known as base system. Under, is just a listing of elements generally present in a barebones computer and these can change and bought when the end user requires only the basic system devices such as video card, cpu and other components.
