Digitally signed is an electronic signature is just a statistical structure applied to confirm the credibility of communication or the digital authentication of document.

They’re used when preventing tampering and determining credibility are essential, for example in financial transactions. They can be used with E-mail messages and PDF files also.

Digital signatures are a standard element of most cryptographic protocol suites, and are commonly used for software distribution, financial transactions, contract management software, and in other cases where it is important to detect forgery or tampering.
