Dot Matrix


Dot Matrix is a non impact printer which makes noise while printing any document with the help of striking keys.

It was developed by Centronics in 1970 first launched Dot matrix models and it is a printer that utilizes print heads to take ink or hit an ink ribbon to a large number of small facts to put thousands to create text or images.

However, unlike a typewriter or daisy wheel printer, letters are drawn out of a dot matrix, and thus, varied fonts and arbitrary graphics can be produced. Dot matrix printers are seldom used due to the poor print-outs when comparing to laser printers and inkjet printers.
