Dual Core

Dual core is a technology that allows two total control devices (cores) to operate in parallel about the same processor.
They can perform operations up to twice as fast as a single processor can. These provide practically much energy in one single processor to the consumer.

Multi-core is similar to dual-core in that it is an expansion to the dual-core technology which allows for more than two separate processors. It has become old technology because many multiple core processor are available in the market.

To ensure that the computer to get full benefit of dual core, it should be working on an OS that helps TLP as well as for programs to aid TLP.
