Stands for” Front Side Bus”, FSB can also be called the Processor Bus, Memory Bus, or Process Bus and links the processor (chipset) using the main storage and L2 cache.

Because the FSB serves as the main path from the processor to the rest of the motherboard, it is also called the “system bus.”

The FSB may vary from rates of 66 MHz, 133 MHz, 100 MHz, 266 MHz, 400 MHz, or more. The FSB has become another important factor when considering investing in a computer a new computer or Motherboard.
